the website is really slow for me. i think everybody is trying to get on right now.
I mentioned a few months back that the Killers were getting sued and a new album was coming out soon. The new album which is still untitled as far as I know is due out October 3. I’ve been into their pop rock since they first shot into the world about 2.5 - 3 years ago I guess it would be. I remember going to a show in San Diego for the local rock station 91x that the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and The Killers were headliners. I convinced my friend to give me one of her tickets she won so I could go watch The Killers. It was a good day, I went and they played a pretty good show. I wouldn’t say it was excellent or anything. Then two weeks later the album came out, and they exploded.
THE NEWS:
So here we are today, on the brink of the next album release, and I have a stream for you. Yes yes, I hate streams too… but at least you get a little to love. ALSO, it is a FULL LENGTH track. Not the little snippets that everybody has been spreading around.
THE LOOK:
Lets talk about this promo shot for a second. What do you see? I see the dudes heavily influenced by classic rock. I see Bad Company, I see Led Zeppelin, I see dudes that are going to make themselves even bigger this year. Facial hair is so hot right now.

Two way popular bands right now, Angels and Airwaves (yes Tom from Blink 182 is the singer) and Taking Back Sunday are heading out on tour together, and guess what?!? ALL THE SHOWS ARE SOLD OUT. Effing rediculous, and awesome. Check out tour dates on their myspace. Angels and Airwaves have one single out which I frequently hear on Sirius Satellite Radio, “The Adventure.” It’s a great track, the first 40 seconds or so reminds me of U2.
Go watch some live show video at Independant Music. It you look hard enough, you can find an mp3 of “The Adventure” floating around.
The Angels and Airwaves website is one of the best band websites I’ve seen in a long time. There are amazing videos and just a bunch of other stuff to check out.
Taking Back Sunday is becoming even more popular than they were on the last album especially with their single “MakeDamnSure.” This tour is going to do amazing things for them, and I have a feeling the album Louder Now is going to be huge. Thank you Thank you theTripWire for they have given me Mew news. Since I heard “Am I Wry? No” last year sometime I have been overly obsessed with this band. Their music is such a fresh breathe for me. They rock, and yet so perfectly soft. The lead singer Jonas Bjerre has such a melodic voice on top of such good music. Oh man, now I’ll be back to listening to the Frengers album until I get the latest, And the Glass Handed Kites.
Oh yeah! The news! via theTripWire Mew is coming to the US August 11 on Columbia!!! Yess, now I don’t have to pay $10 extra for the album, even though I didn’t really mind…

Especially because of the album artwork that I already mentioned is super sexy.

“How we wrote the album was a big change for us,” says guitarist Felix Rodriguez. “The first album we wrote together and rehearsed together and played the songs live before they were recorded. But this one, we wrote maybe 75% in our studio in Malmo from February till May, then we went straight to recording.”
