Bloggers are fickle, totally. It’s not like I set out to totally stop checking email’s and writing and everything involved with blogging; it just happened. I would apologize but “I’m sorry I’m not sorry.” When a project starts to eat up a good amount of your time without much compensation it’s usually time to stop. This blog started out as a passion, then turned into more of a “job” to me than fun. So when the fun ceased, so did I. I know there is still lots of fun to be had, I’ve just alot to deal with until then.

For all you readers out there (which are actually mostly other bloggers I’ve noticed) thanks for dropping by.

Musicglob is gonna be really on the down low. I might chip in every now and then OR I’ll get some writers on here. The future is not planned or known for this little blog so only time will tell.

I’m not there this year, again. For the past 4 years I’ve told myself – “I gotta go to South By Southwest this year.” It hasn’t happened yet. I’ll eventually make it out there probably after I finish up college sometime around a year.

If you read music blogs, I know that there is alot of people taking blogging about it so go find yourself some of that action. For myself, I don’t want to read what I’m missing so I’ll skip that part.

To all that are at SXSW, I envy you.

I’ll take this time to officially say, “I’m Back” (mostly). I am still tons behind my email so I barely know what’s even going on right now but check out the new site design!? Lets talk about a few things to catch you up…

Notes about Musicglob now:
For a very long time I’ve wanted to build alot of things into MusicGlob. Mostly alot of things I realized not one person can handle. Blogs today (and back when I started the MusicGlob in 2005) have alot of potential and ease to build pretty much as big as you want. Me, I’ve always wanted to GO BIG! Especially with MusicGlob, I always felt there are no limits if you set your mind to achieve something you can achieve that goal. Well I had to pay bills and alot of other projects came up that snatched away my time from music and this blog. Well I’m no less busy, but rearranging my priorities to fit in what I want to fit in.

New Features:
The biggest addition to Musicglob is THE WIRE. No, not the tripwire (which has been o one of my longtime favorites) but the new MusicGlob WIRE. It’s that top right section with some titles… they are linked directly to/from wire.musicglob.com so you can have easy access to all kinds of content.

The MusicGlob WIRE is basically my mini-blog for ANYTHING & EVERYTHING music related to post that I get a hold of. I get alot of news and promo stuff all the time from different outlets and don’t always write about them because I’ve always been picky on the glob. Well I’m not picky on the WIRE. There’s mp3′s, videos, concerts, and random other bits. It’s still growing right now and I’ll be posting alot of stuff from the last month or two soon to get up to date.

There are a few other miscellaneous updates to the site but I’m taking things nice and slow for now… kinda easily jumping in if that makes sense. Soon to come hopefully CD Reviews, better show calendar, other stuff?

Thanks again to all who read, have read, just started reading, bands, friends, and teh internets.

Let me know what you think of the new design of drop me a line if you see any big problems.

Dan

WELL… I don’t know, but I’m finding out right now.

Here’s what I predict will happen.

I’ll use the handy “2 minute rule” per email

SWEET! 8000 minutes! According to Google, that is roughly 133 hours!

get aggrevated…

delete ALOT of email…

respond to some

get fed up

archive / delete everything over a month old

whew…

time to redesign…. AGG

Also, I am glad to say I finally made it out to a show. I’ve been absent for the past many months yet made it out to Spaceland for The Pity Party’s FREE Monday night residency. AWESOME, to the max. Saw alot of old friends including JAX, Becca, and Kevin from Division Day. Good times all around.

I know I say I’m doing stuff here at musicglob, and I am… it’s just little by little.
