I’ve never been one to get all that excited about whatever new ipod came out. It wasn’t that big of a deal when they went all color screen because I already had an iRiver and it was awesome. The iPod interface has always been the winner. Now things just got interesting. The iPod touch is basically the iPhone - with out the phone. Yeah, all the same features, even wifi web browsing and the multi-touch screen that is freaking awesome in so many ways.

I’m actually excited about it, now I could have an iPhone - without the expensive phone part and the hassle of switch carriers. Starts at $299 for the 8GB version which is right in the top of the sweet spot. $400 would be a little too much, and well anything like this type of product selling at $199 would sell soooo many.
