The Lashes

A few weeks ago I had a chance to get an email interview with The Lashes which I was pretty stoked about. Me not know what the heck I’m doing… and still kinda not knowing… asked stupid questions. But hey, I thought they were things I wanted to know, so maybe you would want to know? Who knows. Either way read on!

How do you feel about the upcoming album release… are you guys happy about how it turned out?

no! can we do it over again? we can’t? oh, well, then…. yes! we
are very happy with the album and would not do a thing to change it!
recording “get it” really was a dream come true for us and we are very
proud of the pop/rock record that we made. unless you don’t like it.
then we can change it. we’ll do the whole thing differently i swear!
just give us another chance! i only wanted a hug!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys have a good tour setup for the next couple weeks, are you excited to get out on the road and uhh, spread your seed? (or music, whichever you prefer) – this is the stupid question I’m referring to.

touring is our favorite part of being in the lashes. it’s great to go
to different cities, some of which we have never even been to! we
always end up meeting lots of new friends every time we go on tour.
even the creepy people end up being our friends. i don’t even know
what that means.

Any particular city you looking forward to play in?

on tour, even the weird ghost towns are fun. actually, sometimes
those towns are just as much fun as the big cities. on our next tour
we get to go back to sxsw in austin, texas. out of everywhere we have
played austin always seems to be the city that gets us in the most
trouble, which could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on if
you listen to our manager or not!

Where did “GET IT” come from?

honestly i don’t know. i still don’t get it.

For Ben, this first time I saw you guys at the key club in early December… I was wondering, how many belts do you wear? On average?

however many i find on the floor from the night before.
