Fathered by an Italian designer who received most of his artistic and craft training in Detroit, Michigan, the Bertoia Chair was born in America and has grown up to be a worldwide phenomenon. Over its lifetime, it has become one of the most enduring furniture designs of the twentieth century. Worked in wire and made entirely by hand, even today, these chairs have remained in production since 1952, and they show no sign of stopping.
The diamond pattern of the chair back and seat were outside the norm at the time he designed the chair, and it continues to look new and fresh today. This chair can be found in two sizes and can be padded or fully upholstered to suit the buyer. The wire can even be left unadorned, shining in a myriad of colors that will complement any decor.
