With all my mentions of the Dudes of the Lonely Island in my previous post about We Are Scientists I forgot to mention that you can see Andy in an SNL skit that is just super popular around the internet. If you watch the Dudes stuff before SNL, you totally realize they wrote and directed it along with Chris Parnell. Anyways, watch the video, it’s hilarious.

[…] As a “response” to the SNL Chronic Of Narnia rap some guys here in LA decided to make their own rap. Too bad it’s incredibly weak and not funny at all. The cinematography is no where near as good as Akiva’s style for the Chronic of Narnia. Then there is the “rap” itself, yeah weak lines and weak comedy. Maybe I just don’t like the whole Color Me Mine base. To me it’s not so much of a response as it is a straight bad remake. Why does it have to be the “West Coast Response??” The Dudes (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone) were making films in LA a long time ago before they recently got picked up by SNL.
