Stars of Track and Field is a trio from Portland, Oregon that is my new “it” band for today, actually this week and next and maybe longer… I like bands that have the whole “package.” Bear with me here… they not only have great music with drum machines and keyboards and guitars and vocals, they have a style. The style that will get them somewhere and everywhere. They have been big over in Oregon/Washington starting in 2005 with their first EP release. Now with their debut album, Centuries Before Love and War I can’t help be see them getting bigger. Head to your iTunes to buy the album.
I almost forgot to mention, they are playing with Jeremy Enigk this week and I know Jeremy’s name has been thrown around recently on the blogosphere.

Just heard Stars of Track and Field on labelfreeradio.com and they’re awesome. They are more than just an “it” band for a week. They will definitely be around for awhile.
