Months ago a buddy of mine introduced me Shiny Toy Guns. I thought, this is cool and dancy and whatnot, but let me just get this out of the way. I personally only like two songs off the album. The whole album isn’t “bad,” it’s just not as good as I thought it would be. I felt I had to say that because sometimes things like that need to be said. Those two songs are “You Are The One,” and “Le Disko.” They are by far their two most popular jams, even KROQ here in LA has been playing them this past month or two. I saw them live awhile ago and thought the show was just ok. Yet there is no denying, these two songs are hits. Their sound is electronica pop rock with both a male and female singers which I think adds alot to the music. The album “We Are Pilots” out October 17th.
Here it is in a nutshell, lets all dance cause dancing is fun, and Shiny Toy Guns will get you to dance. Run on sentances are cool too, I have a habit of them.

their demo album is kind of lame because they didn’t have the appropriate equipment to make it the way the wanted. so they finally got a high tech recording studio in new york and for the past year or so have been flying there in between tour breaks to perfect the new album.

AXEL ROSE on lead vocals, TOMMY LEE ON DRUMS, CARAH FAYE CHARNOW on lead vocals (she could work out vocals parts with AXEL on SWEET CHILD O MINE) but the guys would have to be able to MORPH into that LITTLE GIRL sex role play thing that CARAH FAYE CHARNOW LOVES, to get her turned on (she likes hearing the guy she’s banging use a LITTLE GIRL VOICE, AND PRETEND THAT HE IS A LITTLE GIRL, AND TALK DIRTY TO HER… it gets her VERY WET!- so Carah has professed herself in comments on her current bands website) CARAH FAYE CHARNOW will probably go down in history as the MUSIC VOCAL HOE OF 2006/2007 SHE HAS ALREADY BROKEN THE RECORD for FEMALE VOCALIST WHO HAS LAID HER VOICE INTO THE MOST NUMBER OF OTHER BANDS CD’s - she’s already done vocals for PARIS HILTON, and the band EPITAPH, and several other bands in 2006 - and she also did vocals for a CD that was a GOTH tribute CD to PRINCE (Carah DID A COVER OF THE SONG, NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU) Carah did the vocal on that song in February of 2006 after she had come back from Los Angeles after having done vocal work for Paris Hilton and Epitaph. SHINY TOY GUNS had just fired Carah, and Mikey Martin the drummer for SHINY TOY GUNS who was banging her had started banging someone else in New York… a 20 year old mentally screwed up aspiring folk singer, and Mikey Martin had also asked me to marry him at that time (I declined his offer of marriage and his offer to replace Carah in the band SHINY TOY GUNS in January)… SO CARAH ENDED UP BANGING MIKEY MARTIN and the other guys in SHINY TOY GUNS so she could stay in their band… and she also did vocals for the song NOTHING COMPARES TO YOU… in an attempt to KEEP MIKEY MARTIN… and the band from FIRING HER in New York… SO CONTINUING WITH THE NEW GUNS N ROSES BAND LINE-UP… Carah Faye Charnow could be the LEAD FEMALE HOT HOE… I’m sure Tommy Lee and Axel could KEEP HER NICE AND WET! Today is October 16, 2006 - and I just did a GOOGLE of my name to see what comes up …. and I came across a link to this site page with a comment that I had left several weeks ago regarding SHINY TOY GUNS and Carah Faye Charnow… and I have read the comments in response to what I posted… FIRST… let me start with… the fact that it did not take me ALL DAY to write the comment that I posted above several weeks ago… SECOND… I am doing the public a service in EXPOSING… what this band is all about.. and I am engaged in a PUBLIC SERVICE CAMPAIGN TO ALERT PARENTS TO WHAT THIS BAND ARE ALL ABOUT… AND WHAT THEIR RECORD COMPANIES ARE ALL ABOUT… since this band SHINY TOY GUNS are targeting an UNDER 18 YEAR OLD CROWD… you can go to www DOT livejournal DOT COM … to read all the RANTS and posts that I have posted therein regarding SHINY TOY GUNS.. I was using a recording studio down the hall from this band back in December/January of 2005/2006 and they RIPPED OFF all of my material (concepts/styles/select lyrics) and I had to endure rampant, aggravated sexual harassment from the drummer of SHINY TOY GUNS, Mikey Martin… and I witnessed what they were doing to Carah Faye Charnow… which was sexual harassment, and emotional and mental abuse of this woman… who is so mentally screwed up … and so driven to try and succeed in the music industry that she allows these men to treat her in this abusive manner. I haven’t checked back at this site since October 2006… and did so today November, 25. 2006…. and I have read the comments posted following my prior two comments on Shiny Toy Guns… I can clearly tell that THE NEGATIVE RESPONSES TO MY COMMENTS WERE BY - SHINY TOY GUNS - REPRESENTATIVES… I understand that this is a public forum… and everyone has the right to voice their opinions and comments… PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT EVERYTHING THAT I STATED IN MY COMMENTS HEREIN ABOUT SHINY TOY GUNS IS 100% TRUE… and anyone who does not want to believe the statements that I have made on this site regarding SHINY TOY GUNS… well - that’s your perogative… I KNOW THE TRUTH ABOUT MIKEY MARTIN, GREGORI CHAD PETREE, JEREMY DAWSON, AND CARAH FAYE CHARNOW… and I would not waste my time or energy posting what I have posted unless I felt it necessary that the public be aware of WHO, AND WHAT SHINY TOY GUNS are about… what I experienced dealing with these people, and their methods of operation… WAS AN OUTRAGE… I was nice to all of them… and I found them to be very DISHONEST people, in addition to all the aforementioned statements that I have made about SHINY TOY GUNS in my previous comments on this site… they may appear to be nice when you meet them… but that is not WHO or WHAT they are really about… I came to know all of them very well, THE REAL PEOPLE… behind the public personas…. Dalena, there’s one reason and one reason alone why Shiny Toy Guns is seeing success, and you’re not.
Your music sucks. Theirs is, at the very least, tolerable.
Try to be a goodie-goodie and “expose” the music industry all you want. The public already knows most of the deception that goes on - and they don’t care. If they did, they’d have made steps to change it by now.
And I’d like to see you try to take on Myspace. Newscorp has a lot of money to throw around, and you can be damn sure they’d squash you like a bug without giving it a second thought.
All you’re doing is trying to stir up a little traffic to your own site - get a little exposure by bagging on a band that’s already popular. Smear ads don’t work for politicians - they definitely won’t work for you.

FIRST… how do you know that my ASS IS FAT?
SECOND: slander??? Everything that I have commented about SHINY TOY GUNS…. is the truth… to the best of my knowledge and first hand experience dealing with them… for several months while I was using a recording studio down the hall from the recording studio that they were using for their RE-WORKED and RE-WORKED… we are pilots CD. === and you can’t sue for SLANDER… if it’s THE TRUTH! This is a free country… with FREE SPEECH… the truth does hurt sometimes… obviously it hurts you Daniella… and SHINY TOY GUNS… who I am sure have their friends and associates post positive comments about them, where ever I have commented on the Internet about them, to try and COVER THEIR ASSES… yeah, they seem like nice people when you meet them… I thought so too… until I really got to know them, and what they are really about….
People used to always tell me what nice people my parents were, and how nice my father was… while I was growing up…. his public image was very different from his real persona… at home he was a wife beater, and inflicted severe physical abuse on his children. THINGS AREN’T ALWAYS WHAT THEY APPEAR TO BE ON THE SURFACE… I had to endure aggravated AND I MEAN AGGRAVATED SEXUAL HARASSMENT BY MIKEY MARTIN of SHINY TOY GUNS… it effected my music production, and put me behind schedule, as well as causing me emotional stress, mental stress and physical stress, which inpacted my poor state of health — I was suffering from a bad root canal infection as well as pain in my breasts, related to my breast cancer and capsular contracture in both my breasts… you can read my journal about my medical issues…. http://dalenadubois.livejournal.com — I HAD TO DEAL WITH MIKEY MARTIN’S AGGRAVATED SEXUAL HARRASSMENT, while I was trying to finish work on my music, while at the same time, I was ill…. I may still proceed with a lawsuit for aggravated sexual harassment against Mikey Martin… I am consulting with some new attorneys next month … I will be undergoing a RADICAL MASTECTOMY soon… so my focus right now is on my breast cancer.

It is obvious that the chemo has gone to your head, and you are delirious. You can, in fact, sue for slander. Free speech and lying are not the same thing. Slander is lying, and it’s lying about someone so that it could ruin their lives forever. If you continue with this, you will lose a lot of money. I am not a representative for the Shiny Toy Guns, I am a fan and a good friend of Carah, but not a representative. I’ve only seen them once in concert ever.. so please don’t misrepresent this as being from them. Chill out, go have your surgery, and don’t get better too soon.

You are using long rants to try and bring attention to yourself while bringing down a positive music group. The Shiny Toy Guns are great people, I have talked to Jeremy a few times, and exchanged emails as early as today (as I am going to see them in 2 hours in SF) and they are the most band I have known. They are great to there fans, always making it a point to keep in touch, and stay connected by anymeans. No matter how “popular” they have gotten, they always make time for the fans.
So please stop spending your time by being negative to a band that surely will only grow in success, and nothing you say will change that. Whether they stole your music, sexually assaulted you, etc I am sure you deserved it/ and or offered it. Which….. I truly doubt…

She’s delinquent on a lot of bills because she squandered all her money on shit music. She wiilingly offered sex to these guys then when the got the contract she turned on them. I hadn’t visited this site for awhile… but did today.. and I find it interesting that people working for SHINY TOY GUNS keep putting up comments to try and cover these band members and their past BAD DEEDS… so … as much as I DO NOT WANT TO RESPOND to the comments above that are pure RUBBISH and untrue… I will RESPOND to set the record straight… and should the SHINY TOY GUNS matter end up litigating… then I will make sure that the E-mail address and other pertinent information for the persons posting the untrue comments are tracked… and appropriate legal action taken against these individuals for posting false and slanderous information about me. That said… let me now CLARIFY… and state the TRUTH… again…. about SHINY TOY GUNS… and some of the interactions and experiences that I encountered with SHINY TOY GUNS, while using several recording studios at the Film Center Building (7th Floor) in New York City… back in December, January of 2005/2006, while Shiny Toy Guns band… Carah Faye Charnow, Mikey Martin, Jeremy Dawson, Gregori Chad Petree … were recording down the hall from the studios that I was using… whomever posted the comment above regarding my finances - clearly does not know anything about what is happening in my life, does not know my accountant, and is someone that I do not know, and who does not know me… but obviously has an agenda which appears to be… to aid SHINY TOY GUNS….
FURTHER… to state that I OFFERED SEX to the members of SHINY TOY GUNS… is completely untrue - I had to CONSTANTLY PUSH MIKEY MARTIN AWAY FROM ME, EACH TIME HE ATTEMPTED TO GRAB ME AND COME ONTO ME… WHICH HAPPENED ALLOT, Mikey Martin was a short, chubby, hairy 23 year old back then, and I was 48 years old at the time (now 49 years old), and I was not interested in SEX with Mikey Martin at that time, I WAS WORKING ON MY MUSIC PRODUCTION SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, LONG SESSIONS, I HAVE THE PAID RECORDING STUDIO RECEIPTS TO PROVE THIS, AND WHEN I WORK ON MY MUSIC, I KEEP BUSINESS AND SEX/PLEASURE SEPERATE, I TOLD MIKEY MARTIN THAT ENGAGING IN SEX WITH ANYONE WORKING FOR ME WOULD BE PUTTING MYSELF AT RISK FOR A SEXUAL HARASSMENT LAWSUIT, I am careful NOT TO ENGAGE IN SEXUAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEOPLE THAT I EMPLOY DURING RECORDING SESSIONS…
CARAH FAYE CHARNOW IS AN EMPLOYEE OF THE BAND SHINY TOY GUNS, and the male band members SEXUALLY HARASSED HER AND MENTALLY AND EMOTIONALLY ABUSED HER…. I witnessed this blatant behaviour during a phone call that Mikey Martin made to me… where I had him on speaker phone….. with a witness present in my office…. MIKEY MARTIN PUT CARAH FAYE ON THE PHONE WITH ME… while this inappropriate behaviour was occurring.
Anyone who was working with me, and whom I paid to come into recording sessions at the studios that I was using back then, WILL ATTEST TO THE FACT THAT I DID NOT ENGAGE IN ANY SEXUAL ACTIVITY WITH MIKEY MARTIN nor any member of SHINY TOY GUNS, I was not interested back then, not while I was producing my music… MY MUSIC COMES FIRST… when I work on my music in recording studios… it is 100% focusing on the MUSIC… not SEX… and I have never gotten involved sexually with the engineers I employ, nor session backing vocalists, session musicians… ect… I deplore sexual harassment on the job. And I saw the male members of SHINY TOY GUNS engaging in SEXUAL HARASSMENT and EMOTIONAL/MENTAL HARASSMENT of Carah Faye, in addition to myself… but Carah Faye Charnow is to driven to succeed, and does not want to do anything to attempt to stop what the male band members do to her… she just accepts it… it is very sad to see the sexual and emotional/mental harassment of women in the music industry, yet it occurs on a regular basis.
MIKEY MARTIN, sexually harassed me.. and he kept asking me TO MARRY HIM… I had him on speaker phone at my NYC apt. LAND LINE office phone when he called me on one occassion, and again asked me to marry him… I had a witness present… on this same phone call … he put CARAH FAYE on the phone with me… after he told me that they had FIRED CARAH from the band… this was right after Carah had come back from Los Angeles… after having done some “dummy vocalist work” for Paris Hilton. Shiny Toy Guns stated TO THE PUBLIC the information about Carah Faye doing DUMMY VOCALIST WORK FOR PARIS HILTON, on their website at that time.. I copied and saved their old website where they had this information posted… making it public knowledge.
AGAIN, I WILL STATE… I never allowed Mikey Martin who is the drummer for the band Shiny Toy Guns to TOUCH ME, the only time he did have physical contact with me was on the several occassions when he tried GRABBING ME in the hallway on the 7th floor of the Film Center Building back in December/January of 2005/2006. I yelled out to him on one occassion when he had grabbed me and was trying to hold me — TO LET GO OF ME… and that he was a maniac… I have several witnesses to this occurrance. I stated to Mikey Martin on several occassions that I was OLDER THAN HIS MOTHER… and that his constant COME ON’S and sexual harrassment was inappropriate. Yet he persisted… and kept insisting that we get married… he never had the decency to APOLOGIZE TO ME after this outrageous behaviour… nor did the other band members… and I was nice to all of them… despite their bad behaviour.
In the end the truth always surfaces… and I am confident that the TRUTH will surface in the end… and that they will get their just rewards. I would have been happy with an apology after what they put me through. But they did not even have the decency to apologize… Mikey Martin and the rest of the band know what they did, what happened. They are not honest, good people… that is a fact that I have concluded based on my interactions with them and my observations of them. Their public image is not who, or what they are really about… so if you are a fan of this band…. fine… I have not BASHED THEIR MUSIC… I have only reported what I experienced… TRUTHFULLY, if these truths are not what you care to read or hear about… then don’t read the things on these websites…
what bothers me a little… about all this web comments stuff… is the comments left by persons affiliated with Shiny Toy Guns that are untrue and so MEAN SPIRITED, and based on absolutely on credible evidence or fact… meant solely to discredit me. But, I understand that this is a public forum and therefore open to whomever and whatever comments…
oh… and the comment that states that I want to FORCE - SHINY TOY GUNS band members to SETTLE WITH ME… hmmm… REALLY????
this all happened back in December/January of 2005/2006 but the only people that started legal action were SHINY TOY GUNS so far… not me - and it has been baseless, inaccurate and deceptive legal action initated by them, in an attempt to COVER THEIR ASSES basically!…
…and I have credible evidence, witnesses, and the grounds upon which to initiate legal action against Mikey Martin and the band Shiny Toy Guns… yet I have not done so…. and today is February 9th, 2007 ….
I am still waiting for my apology from Mikey Martin and SHINY TOY GUNS… yet not holding out much hope…
I never want to see these people again, and I never want to listen to any of their music… this entire matter has hardened me, and made me much more aware that I must never, ever let down my guard, nor ever be REALLY NICE to people in recording studios again, they cannot be trusted… that is a fact. The music industry is full of BAD, DISHONEST PEOPLE… so … from hereonin… I am sure that people will be calling me A BITCH.. a mean BITCH… well that’s the music business… to survive… YOU HAVE TO BE A MEAN BITCH…. I am ready to get back into the saddle… and RIDE MY WAY TO THE TOP TEN with some of the music tracks that I have produced (not yet released… for all you haters)
I am not looking back… only forward… SHINY TOY GUNS were a very bad and unfortunate experience in my life… AND NOT WORTH ANOTHER MOMENT OF THOUGHT OR CONSIDERATION OF ANY KIND… I wish them the luck that KARMA brings… maybe they can REPENT…. who knows? who cares?

The things that I have to endure for MY MUSIC… are extraordinary! But, I must admit that the MIKEY MARTIN aggravated sexual harassment that I had to endure has been BY FAR… one of the most horrible things that I have had to deal with… in a long time… and I have lived a very long time…

Mikey Martin’s behaviour towards me was a complete and total LACK OF RESPECT FOR ELDERS… LACK OF RESPECT FOR WOMEN… and was driven by his EGO. He wanted to try and BAG AN OLDER WOMAN.
I wanted to try and get my music completed… and I ended up having to deal with this MESS…
I am starting to think that I may have to begin legal action against Mikey Martin and Shiny Toy Guns… in an attempt to SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT… oh…. and if they did settle or if I won any such litigation… after the legal fees were paid… it would ALL BE DONATED TO A WORTHY CHARITY… maybe … Council For The Protection of Rural England, The Shaftesbury Homes, UK, The Retreat in Amagansett, NY, Group For The South Fork in Bridgehampton, NY, Amercian Cancer Society… just to name a few very worthy organizations whom I have in the past aided with my production projects.

Dalenabuboisisanut is right. Notice how after 2 out of three of Dalena’s posts, you find posts from people who support her, who tend to use those annoying capitals and horrid grammar. Like dalenabuboisisanut also pointed out, they misspell the same things repeatedly.
I’m not going to attack you, Dalena, but is it really necessary to keep bringing up your little problems? I doubt you’ll get pity. And is it also necessary to continously insist that we negative posters are representatives of the band? (That’d be awesome, in my opinion!)
I understand very well that you firmly believe you are helping by posting all of these claims about Shiny Toy Guns over and over again, in different places, and I also understand that we all do have free speech…
But really, get it in your head that no one cares, and very few people in my opinion believe you. You will continously be attacked.

I really don’t care.. that’s her business.. I like there music.. always have and always will.. I think you really need to get away from the computer and go out and have some fun and stop worrying about bringing down this band.. I don’t hate you or anything.. to be honest i wouldn’t factually know what happened to you. however i do know that the band are nothing but warm and friendly to fans. and as for being into kids, what a load of crap. nothing but respect for the whole band. as for mikey being some kind of sexual deviant, well no actually because i know he was handed it on a plate from 18 year old attractive girls, and guess what- nothing. fake british accent? the band seemed to have total repsect for each other, it was clear to me that the guys act as brothers to carah, keeping the noise down etc. take my hat off to the lot of them, living off that bus for so long for the fans, for the music.

WOW! What a bizarre few minutes that was reading all those rants! Ha ha! I thought by reading all that I might actually learn something about STG but it seems all I’ve learnt is that there are some very strange people out there. Surely you are all aware that you’re being used to turn this site into the Dalena Dubois page. There are more posts about her than STG!? i am 17 years old. i saw shiny toy guns in concert they were incredible..theyasked the audience what we wanted to hear. and after i met the band. the first person i talked to was the drummer. he was a sweet heart..and not stuck up. this band is incredible.
i had cancer when i was 2 and im possibly facing it again.

I went to school with carah in Newbury Park for years and know her and her family well. She’s straight edge, sweet as can be, and is part of a very Christian family. She was never a star growing up and her kind of talent wasn’t nearly appreciated enough at school. She deserves the fame she has now. She denies singing tracks for others, but even if she has- what difference does it make? she’s successful, beautiful, and totally unique. first off, i dont see how you come about this pedophile shit, especially about mikey martin. i am underage and was at a show of theirs last night, right next to mikeys drum set. i got attention from him, yes, and after the show we talked for a good 15-20 minutes. you would think that if he actually was a pedophile he would’ve hit on me, but not the case. he is a very intellegent and nice guy, and not once did he ever indicate that he wanted anything other than a fan-artist friendship to me, or to any of the underage kids around. i think it is very rude and immature of you to post these things on a public forum, especially with a community of people who are fans of shiny toy guns’ music. as i am very sorry for you and your medical condition, i cant say its an escuse for your actions. keep it to yourself instead of being obnoxious. if you were really as hurt and emotionally scarred from your “experiences” as you let on, then you wouldn’t be shoving it in our faces.

I am very angry at you Delena, because you are writing very serious acusations. I will not stand for this and not protect the band I love. I personally have not met them, but I know that they would never do these things. You are a sick person trying to ruin the reputation that they worked extremely hard to gain. Their friendships with their fans are nothing but fan-artist friendships, if they did they wouldn’t be artists now would they? They would probably be behind a computer trying to lure kids into meeting them, those are the real people that you should have hate towards, not Shiny Toy Guns. She has recordings of phone calls that the drummer Mikey martin of the band made to her apartment in New York in 2006 where he tells her that they fired Carah from the band and that they wanted to hire her to replace Carah, and the guys asks her to marry him, and she tells him that he is insane and we heard Carah on the recordings too! and Dalena asks them to stop torturing her in one of the calls, she was very upset about what they did to her. AND WHAT THE HELL WAS A 23 year old MIKEY MARTIN doing constantly harassing her and asking her to marry him? There are people around who saw what went down with Mike Martin and the other guys in the band, including the producers over at the studio that they were using back in January 2006 in NYC where she was working. We have friends who saw them harassing her (almost everyday that she was working over there in January 2006)
I heard at least three of the phone call recordings that Mikey Martin made to her, and so have my friends at a recording session we had with her last month. she played the recordings for us and she is going to have her lawyer get copies of the drummers cellphone records so that she has even more proof that he was calling her and harassing her, and there are other things that they said to her that I can’t repeat since they are going to court soon. Dalena has proof about what went down with Shiny Toy Guns. So people need to chill out and stop bashing her for telling the truth.

I used to listen to Dalena when she was a deejay on our radio station in British Columbia Canada. she played top 40 & rock music and had live request phone ins. it was a cool radio show and everyone in town listened to her. She had a good radio voice and was the deejay at the nightclub in town. She was 16 years old when she started working as the local radio deejay. I think she quit and left town when she was 18. She did the evening television news report too. Dalena was our town celebrity back in 1972 1973 74 75. She’s a REAL deejay! good one! and she won lots of awards for her poetry recitals in B.C. Nice to see she’s back to being involved with music and using her vocal talents again! too bad these trashy comments about her are everywhere, she has accomplished many interesting things in her life and doesn’t deserve to have people commenting on her when they don’t know who she really is.
