Coachella 2006 Coachella 2006 lineup

I posted about Wintergreen awhile ago and they have just released a new music video for the song “When I Wake Up.” The song is great, and the music video is equally awesome. The band has quite the sense of humor. They have a tour coming up and their EP Extended Play came out yesterday. I’ll keep you updated, for now watch the video!

As a “response” to the SNL Chronic Of Narnia rap some guys here in LA decided to make their own rap. Too bad it’s incredibly weak and not funny at all. The cinematography is no where near as good as Akiva’s style for the Chronic of Narnia. Then there is the “rap” itself, yeah weak lines and weak comedy. Maybe I just don’t like the whole Color Me Mine base. To me it’s not so much of a response as it is a straight bad remake. Why does it have to be the “West Coast Response??” The Dudes (Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone) were making films in LA a long time ago before they recently got picked up by SNL. Sorry for the rant, but hey this is the internet.

I havn’t listened to Jack Johnson since summer, but hey this is a way happy song and video. Just watch it even if you don’t like Jack Johnson, but seriously why wouldn’t you like Jack? Good chill music.

One of the side projects of Rilo Kiley, this one fronted by lead guitarist / co-songwriter Blake Sennett. Blake and Jenny create good music together and apart, in fact Jenny had a recent solo release as well, Rabbit Fur Coat. I along with many other people love this album artwork, and the website is great too.
