Lately I’ve liked everything MOKB has posted, so therefore I wanted to spread more love, this time it being for 13 Ghosts. It’s softer indie rock… nice for lazy weekend days.

I was going to just do a normal post about Elefant, then I found out they have a new album coming out! It is titled “The Black Magic Show” and due out April 06. I got hooked on these guys last year just cause its one of those cds I can listen to straight through and not skip a song. That was the Sunlight Makes Me Paranoid ($3.99 on Amazon.com WELL worth it!) Elefant is just good alt indie rock with a calm side, perfect for anytime listening.

The Lashes are Powerpop/Rock/Alternative, and I’m just in the mood for that right now. I think they are spreading quite a bit right now. They are playing all this week, and I wish I could go to a show, I guess we’ll see. (There is a show tonight at the key club in LA) Overall they are pretty established online, and it looks like Columbia is taking care of them. Their debut cd is coming out in February which is yet another to add to my list to get. You can read a bunch about them over at Filter Mag.

The Moving Units are cool for a couple reasons. They play some good indie music, and they make you wanna dance. I’ve been listening to them for a long time and had a chance to go see them, yet unfortunately didn’t. I forget my reason why… all well, I’ll try to see them soon. [Maybe Jan 27 at HOB in Aneheim?] It’s fun indie pop so give em a listen!

The Bon Savants are a gem, and thanks to My Old Kentucky Blog I now have this gem. When I read that they have been opening for Rogue Wave I thought to myself… Well I like Rogue Wave, so heck lets give em a listen. Good choice on my part. I wish they were coming to Los Angeles or San Diego, but I’ll just have to wait a bit.

Tourmaline is a group out of New Jersey that I just found and like while looking around PureVolume. They have some good pop/rock sounds to make for some good listening. They have an album out:Strange Distress Calls, which I will have to add to my list of music to buy.

Just heard about this group and like em alot. Their debut album “BOX” comes out January 24 March 7, 2006 and after what I’ve heard already, I will be buying this album. Reminds me of Muse, yet not as hard but still edgy. I really want to bring attention to their music video for “Fashionably Uninvited.” It’s great cinematography and beautiful effects for such a great song. I can’t wait to get my hands on some more of their new music. Read a bit on them over at Filter.
